Hello! My name is Yely Pernía. I'm a Surface Pattern and Graphic Designer from Venezuela who recently moved to the US. I initially graduated as Industrial Designer from University of Los Andes back in 2017; however, having taken my electives at the Graphic Design Faculty allowed me to discover the incredible world of logotypes, fonts, editorial and packaging. 

 

In 2018, I moved to Santiago, Chile where I worked as freelancer designing logos and full time managing social media for few companies. Throughout this journey I discovered pattern design and learnt to embroider. In 2021, I decided to move to Istanbul, Turkey where I started developing my skills in illustration and surface pattern design. 

 

I really enjoy bringing ideas to the world! I love drawing and coloring whether is on paper or in my iPad; and to spent time playing in adobe fresco, photoshop, illustrator; or even InDesign, if it's necessary.
